Love this easy recipe. I've substituted the vanilla extract for almond, chocolate and banana at different times. They all taste great. Try it!

2nd time I've made this recipe. Unfortunately they pooled liquid again. I made sure to really beat the egg whites well. I gently folded them in. I even tried a little flour in half the batch, made no difference. They really are yummy but I just don't like how the cookie runs in the oven

I love coconut macaroons, and have tried many different recipes over the years. When I saw this one, and I love Ina's recipes, I thought GREAT! a super easy macaroon recipe. What a dissappointment! I followed it to the letter, I even read the reviews and incorporated the adding 1T flour to the recipe, I had room temp whites beat perfectly, SWEETENED condensed (not just condensed milk, and what I ended up with was almond flavored soup! I literally watched as they all combined into one large glob in the oven. Tasted good, just not a good recipe, sorry Ina going back to my old standby!

Oh em gee ! .. I made them yesterday for the first time. Such amazing how the cookie turns out so moist from the inside and crispy outside. Even till the next day... ooh yumm. !! Thank you for a great recipe.

Leave it to Ina to come up with a way to keep the center moist every time! I've made them twice now, and they are a big hit with everyone! Fast and easy too!

This recipe is amazing. I tried these today and after reading some of the reviews made a minor adjustment and they came out perfectly. I prefer almond in my macaroons rather than vanilla and to account for the moisture issue other reviewers mentioned I added 1 tablespoon of flour to the coconut mixture and refrigerated the dough between pans. They came out absolutely delicious. Will definitely make these a regular in our home.

I made these yesterday and have only a few left!!! I love the sweet, crunchy edges! Took no time at all. Kept them in the oven for almost 30 minutes and they were perfect. I made 2 cookie sheets at a time and had a little left over, which turned soggy as others have noticed. But if you make them all at one time, you don't have that problem. I also pressed down on them to make them a little flatter. I just decided I'm making another batch!!

They we're good.. they just didn't get crunchy on the outside without burning.

I had the same pool-of-milky stuff problem as other posters. I'm disappointed to have wasted the coconut and hope I will at least be able to extract the cookies from the puddles. I won't make this recipe again and would not recommend that others make it as written.
