Watery, melted, drippy mess. Much too much liquid even reducing the condensed milk by 20%. Cannot make this recipe work.

I tried making this recipe after seeing it on TV and especially after reading the great reviews. I don't know what I did wrong but they did NOT turn out nearly the same as Ina's.
After folding in the egg whites, the batter was extremely runny and the minute I put them on the sheet pan, they spread out because they were so liquidy. I added tons of coconut to make the batter stiffer (knowing that they would not come out good but I did not want to waste the batter so I took a chance. The end result - I had to throw them out. I love Ina and I have tried a lot of recipes and I am surprised that this one failed.
Any one knows why the batter was so runny??

Been promising my hubby to make him macaroons for 10 years. I finally made these and served them as an "extra" dessert on New Year's Day. They were a big hit and even I liked them (and I don't like coconut.

My mom sent me this recipe and they are the best, moistest macaroons I ave ever had! My husband loves them and they are so easy to make. Top honors to Ina for this recipe!

This is by far my favorite macaroon recipe. I like to dip the bottoms of mine in dark chocolate. A suggestion for those who have runny cookies: Use a silpat baking sheet, and bake the cookies on the second or third highest rack in the oven. I usually lessen the cooking time accordingly. Also, if you don't have extra large eggs, I don't find a difference using 2 large eggs instead.

I gave this two stars only because of the flavor - - they tasted great. But their appearance is poor. They are misshapen blobs, and I wouldn't be able to serve these to visitors. I wouldn't bother to make them again. Sorry, Ina.

This is a perfect macaroon, and I have given it many times, in beautiful tins and jars, as gifts. I've even had a jar returned with a request for it to be filled again with more of these delicious little cookies! This recipe is simple, and the cookies are simply wonderful. Be sure to share them with everyone you love!

This is a wonderful recipe! I just made it and everyone loved them! Only think I did different was dip some in chocolate and they were a HUGE hit!! They are super easy to make. Thanks Ina!
