did not come out as crunchy as I thought. The cornmeal/flour mix did not stick really well.. Second batch I actually added some bread crumbs and that seemed to help the stick-factor a little better... But the flavour was great.

We made Ina's entire steakhouse dinner for Valentines Day. These onion rings were about as good as we have ever eaten. Thank you Ina once again. You always come through for me.

I have made lots of onion rings. Only 5 stars? I wish I could give this recipe 10! I was a little short on buttermilk, so I added a little half-n-half and as Ina would say, "how bad is that?" not bad at all! :> Love you, Ina....and thanks again for yet another keeper!

For 30 years my husband and I have experimented with onion rings--never, ever will we make anything other than Ina's. The crunch, taste, everything is as good as we've ever had at a restaurant. After setting fire to our kitchen last year making french fries, we've switched to an electric fryer and have to do relatively small batches--the fact that these stay crisp even after a while in the oven makes them delicious and safe!

These are the best onion rings I have ever tasted. I soaked them in the buttermilk with salt and pepper for about an hour before frying. They turned out light and crisp. I served them with the steaks and mushrooms from the same epidsode. I liked them so much, I have made them twice since then. The last time I made an Outback copy cat dipping sauce for their blooming onion to serve with them. Awesome!

These are the best ever o'rings!! The buttermilk must be the secret. I did the whole Steakhouse Steak episode and it was the most delicious meal! The o'rings melt in your mouth, aren't greasy and stayed well in the 200 degree oven while I made the steaks. The whole meal fell together and I will definitely make all of it again! Way to go Ina!

Ina's onion rings are the best I've ever had. The onion rings were easy to prepare and not as messy as some other recipes that call for double-dipping. They were surprisingly light. I can honestly say that I'll never eat another beer battered onion ring or order them at those pricey restaurants again!
