Fantastic and fairly easy to make. We have been making crabcakes using Ina's recipe since we watched her make them about 6 months ago. I served them at my Christmas party - HUGE HIT. I've served them on several other occasions - people say that I should start a restaurant - best they've ever tasted.

These were amazing and everyone loved them. I made them with Paula Dean's avocado dressing and it went perfectly! I highly reccomend looking up her dressing recipe to accompany these delicious crab cakes.

Ok, so, I spent most of my summers eating really good seafood, especially crab cakes. My husband and I were stuck, eating with the family with what promised to be a very boring meal with very boring people. We figured we could at least show up schockered, with a fabulous potluck appetizer in our hands. While I don't normally try out a new recipe on a whole group of people, none of Ina's other recipes have ever disappointed me.
I shouldn't be surprised, but I was. This was another hit - they were gone within 15 minutes, with even my snotty sis-in-law raving about them. I personally thought they were fantastic, and was secretly hoping that there would be leftovers. Nope. Not a one. I served it with Ina's Remoulade sauce (minus the cornichonsand my MIL even kept the leftovers of that! My changes: thanks to the people/comments on this board, I doubled the crab meat, even using 1/2 pound of lump crab and a 1/2 pound of imitation (since they ran out at my grocer. No one even noticed. My husband raved and raved and asked when we could have them again.

This recipe is very easy to follow. I followed it to the tee, and formed the crab cakes into 6 big cakes. I then put them in the fridge and let them sit for about 4 or 5 hours. Then I baked them as I had a side dish which needed to be baked. By baking them, they stayed their shape and everyone loved them! Will make them again.
