I've never made crab cakes and had never even cooked with crab before. This recipe isn't intimidating and was simple to make. The crab cakes were delicious. They had a kick to them and were very tasty. If you've never made crab cakes, this is the recipe to use.

these crab cakes are delicious! i made them for a picnic and served them over baby spinach with a dijon viniagrette. my husband kept commenting about how good they were. and i even used canned crab meat. i can't imagine how good they would be with fresh crab meat. i also chose to bake them rather than fry. it didn't take away from the flavor at all. will definitely make again and again!

I love crab cakes but I am usually disapointed with most receipes. I have never had a better crab cake in the best seafood restaurants. I make the crab cakes larger than called for in the receipe which is my only small change.

I love crab cakes and order them whenever I can. I consider myself a good judge of an excellent crab cake so hear me out. The flavor of this cake was good, but the consistency was not. The recipe needed a little more crab and definitely more bread crumbs (approx. 3/4 cups. The prep and cooking time were way off. From start to finish it took 1 1/2 hrs. Will I try again? Maybe.

A fun to make recipe. Great flavor, you must use the Old Bay seasoning. It really smells and tastes fantastic. You should really make the remulade that's suggested too. They go great together.

The only thing I did differnt was a little more bread crumbs, b/c for some reason my mix wasn't holding together that well. These were so wonderful, my boyfriend couldn't get enough!
