I made this last year at Thanksgiving. This was my first attempt at homemade cranberry sauce. I took half of it to my mother-in-law's thinking it would be plenty. Her sister tried it and kept going back for seconds, thirds...till it was gone and then wanted to know why I didn't bring all of it and made me write the recipe. I have already been asked to bring again this year.

This is one of the first "Ina recipes" I've used. It was fun to make, had a great taste, and looked wonderful on the table with the rest of my dinner. Thanks, Ina!

As I watched this thing cook and all the pectin from the apples start thickening everything, the wheels in my head started grinding. We served this with a Greenburg smoked turkey and it was amazing. It got better served with hot leftovers. This is a winner!

It was so easy to make & it tasted wonderful! I didn't add the nuts or raisins.

Although this is a very good and different recipe as it is written this version is too sweet. Cut the Sugar in half and it was very good.

This conserve was so easy to make and so much better than the multiple types of store-bought sauces I have tried. I loved the crucnh of the walnuts, however my father was not a fan of the texture. He tried it again the day after thanksgiving once the nuts had softened a bit and liked it much better that way. I would recommend making this as a test run and sampling it at multiple stages, once the day you made it, once the next day, etc to decide on which texture you prefer.

Forget the jellied cranberry sauce! This recipe looked so easy I decided to try it this year for Thanksgiving. It's a colorful, elegant-looking dish, just a bit tart and the chopped nuts add a little crunch. Very tasty, indeed! I'll never go back to plain cranberry sauce again.

This is a delightful cranberry sauce. I like a fairly traditional Thanksgiving dinner and this was close to the usual cranberry sauce but so much better. Very easy too.

I make this fruit conserve every year, and it's always a hit. Delicious, and easy for me: I'm not an experienced cook!

i've made a lot of cranberry compotes and sauces in my day, but ina's is the best i've ever eaten. it is so simple and so delicious--from now on, it will be the only one i ever make. what a great combo: cranberries and apples. leave it to ina! my family doesn't care for raisins or nuts but they would be easy to add in for those who do, just like she did on tv.
