they were tasty. and easy to make, however they did not rise as big as shown in the picture. maybe I rolled dough to thin, I'm not sure. At little dry too, but over all they were good.

Not tasty at all. I think it was all the baking powder (2 tablespoonsthat ruined it. It was a horrible experience eating these so called scones that everyone's raving about thats so wonderful!! I kept making sure I was looking at the recipe right when I saw 2 tablespoons of baking powder. I will continue searching for a good scones recipe. Needs some tweaking!! This was a huge disapointment and a waste of ingredients. Anyone who tries this recipe.... DO NOT USE 2 TABLESPSOONS OF BAKING POWDER!!!! I should have known better..

In terms of ease this one a piece of cake. Even at an altitude of 7000 feet! These scones are the lightest and flakiest I've ever had, but that makes sense from all the butter! I think for flavor these are rather plain and tasteless unless you get some cranberry in your bite. Reminds me of Starbucks scones, which is not a compliment. However this is a great base for other fruit scones. I will definitely do berries or plums other stone fruits. Who knew scones were so easy?

I must have by now made the scones over a hundred times. They are one big hit. I have substituted the cranberries for raisons on occasion and they are just as delicious. Will never ever buy scones again. Very easy. Love them!!!!

These scones were great. The amount of sugar is just right. I made these with dried blueberries and lemon zest instead of cranberries and orange zest since that was all I had at the minute. I also did not make the glaze since I'm not a big fan of very sweet things, but they still turned out great. Only problem for me was that the scones were a little too big. Next time I'll try using a smaller cookie cutter instead.

Have just made these in readiness for my friend calling in for coffee. They are simply delicious - light and fluffy which amazes me with the amount of heavy cream they contain! Another Ina hit.
