I have made this recipie numerous times. It is very good. If you are watching the calories, it is wonderful without the cream;if fact we like it better.

We really enjoyed this soup! I didn't have leeks in the house so I used green onions, and used a cup of half and half and a cup of freshly grated parmasean cheese instead of the cream. Also doubled the portabella mushrooms, delicious!

The soup was way too rich for my husband and I, I think I will try it again without the heavy cream and just use half and half or milk, otherwise it would have been excellent. This is the first time I've made any mushroom soup so maybe they are supposed to be rich, but it was too much for us.

The combination of the various mushrooms' tastes were enhanced so much by the stock. I've experimented with different varieties of mushrooms and they are all amazing.

It took me a while to make, but oh so worth it! Everyone in my family was begging to eat it. Love this soup. Can't wait to get back to the farmers' market for some more mushrooms. Wonderful!

Absolutely delicious! The only problem I had was way too much parsley. I think 1-2 tablespoons is more than enough.

What a great flavor! As hearty as any beef. Only had Baby Portabello mushroom, so that's what I used. After making the receipe I read the reviews and saw that some people used an immersion blender at some point. Think I will try that next time (because there will be a next time. Ina, you never cease to amaze me at how GOOD all of your receipes are!
