Thought this was an excellent recipe. I made a salad for 4 kids and 6 adults and there was plenty of dressing. My family raved about the salad!

I'm not sure why this dressing got such bad reviews. The only thing was it was a little salty - yes, I used Kosher. In my situation, I was only making salad for 2 people and the salads were medium size (one very large hand of mixed greens with some spinach. I halved the recipe, and used only very good ingredients. I make the vinaigrette in a measuring cup, and I don't throw it all into the salad. Only add as much as you need. As vinegar goes, you HAVE TO use only the best stuff - no walmart brand. I've learned my lesson a long time ago, that vinegars are like wine. It really makes a difference. Also, only very good Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This vinaigrette was a nice basic dressing.

The dressing overpowered the greens and the combination was less than good.
I would not make the dressing again without drastic changes to the ingredients.

Too much oil. Had to toss it and make my

own. I love Ina and her recipes but some

times you kiss a frog and this was it. Wish

I had read the reviews before I wasted my

    good olive oil.

Love ya, Ina, but this was beyond awful. Followed recipe exactly and it tasted like oily onion. What a waste of pricey olive oil and a lovely shallot. arrrgggh!!

Too much oil. Added more vinegar, salt, pepper, and garlic powder and then I thought it was tasty

I love Ina, but I should have read the other reviews before trying this. I agree there was way too much oil. I added extra of everything else to balance the flavors and then it was just okay.

I followed the recipe to the letter and it was just awful. I've got to believe that the oil measurement is off. I saw the episode but couldn't remember how much Ina used. I had to throw it away and fix my own dressing.

I am a big fan of Ina's and I think there's a misprint with the olive oil. It should be clarified for anybody else who may want to try it.

Easy, light and delicious - it is now my standard dressing.

I liked this recipe. It is short on ingredients. I did cut back on the oil and added a little h20. I put = amounts of mustard and honey and increased the vinegar (love vinegar.
