Hi, I'm new to this website but when I saw these being made on Barefoot Contessa they sounded divine. Only problem is that I can't stand the flavor of mayo (even good quality kinds unless just a tiny amount is used.

Any suggestions on what might make a good substitute for the mayo to moisten the dish and bring the ingredients together?

    Thanks!

PS--Sorry in advance if I should post such a question elsewhere rather than here.

one of the best recipes you've done on air, easy to make, great textue, colour, flovor.
Served it at a large party, I had 47 guests, not a bite was left over!!
couldn't help but laugh out loud at the dummy who said it looked good then complained when it tasted bland because they made made it omitting half of the ingredients because they didn't understand anything about great food.
Your viewers who know how to cook love your recipes. thanks

I'll bet this would also be delicious with tofu. Maybe not in a wrap, but maybe over a nice bed of greens! Very nutritious with the nuts and raisins too.

I made the chicken salad and stuffed a tablespoon into filo cups. They made a well-loved appetizer for my Bunco group!

Great recipe. Made this for my family and they loved it. Very easy as well. My 11 year daughter loves to make it with me. Raisons add an exotic taste. Great excuse to open a bottle of wine!

OK, so I totally LOVE this chicken salad!! I'll agree w/ a lot of the comments in that: 1 the recipe makes more dressing than needed, so either be ready to store some (it makes good salad dressing! or have more chicken and stuff ready to soak up the extra. 2 How it tastes is VERY dependant on the what kind of curry and chutney used. There are as many kinds of each as there are, say, varieties of wine, and they all have very different flavor profiles. I've made this w/ 4 different curries ranging from mild & sweet to blazing hot, and they all taste TOTALLY different, but equally good. : I've used a couple of different chutneys, but have found that Major Greys is by far my preference. Also like many, I've played around with the fruit and nuts: craisins, currants, dried cherries, dried apricots; cashews, peanuts, peacans, pistachios. They're all good. : Thanks for a great playground of a recipe Ina!!

I found this within one of the reviews for this recipe and thought it was crazy:

"I don't know if it was the type of curry I used, but I expected some spice or something and it was actually quite bland. I didn't use the chutney, nor the raisins, nor the cashews b/c that just doesn't sound good to me. I don't care for mixing fruit with savory."

Uh, so you didn't use the chutney, raisins, or the cashews, and you don't know why your recipe came out bland? If you don't like mixing fruit with savory, why did this recipe sound good to you?

IMO, this is one of the best recipes for chicken salad out there. Yes, too much dressing, but I've always made extra chicken with this so it's perfect. The chutney is what makes this recipe stand out. Please, if you hate this recipe, but didn't follow the recipe, DON'T RATE THIS WITH ONE STAR! Geesh!!!

This is my all time favorite lunch, the flavor is incredible! I replaced the raisins with dried cranberries and left out the celery. I also use large butter lettuce leaves as wraps instead of tortillas.

I make these wraps often. Yes, the recipe does make too much dressing, but we love it so much I just add more of everything else. They're great to make ahead for quick and light lunch or dinners. Even my son that's not a big fan of curry loves them. I use hot madras curry, because we like spicy.
