Directions
2 cups dark rum
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups freshly squeezed lime juice
- 2/3 cup sugar syrup (see note)
Combine the rum, lime juice and syrup. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice and fill two-thirds full with the cocktail mixture. Shake for 30 seconds and pour into frosted martini glasses. Serve ice cold.
Note: to make sugar syrup, combine 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water in a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer until all the sugar is dissolved. Chill.

well worth squeezing the limes! it was a little strong for some of my girlfriends so they added club soda and that girlied it up just enough

God bless you, Ina Garten! I am so happy to have a crisp, cool lime daquiri on the rocks! Am so tired of pale, frozen daquiris! Mary Kats, Asheville

This drink tastes strong, and is strong, but it is simple and doesn't mess around with blenders or fruit or anything; the flavors work and complement each other perfectly like sophisticated flavors should.
Ina, I truly wish you were my kindly and generous aunt.
