What a fantastic date nut bread. A little goes a long way. I did everything according to the recipe but actually left off the frosting. My family doesn't like frostings. In my opinion, this is so delicious that you don't even need the frosting. A must try for any baker. This one is a keeper.

I made this recipe and the cream cheese spread this morning for Mother's day. My whole family loved it and when I took a bite, I squealed out loud with delight! It was great!

This is so good and hearty. A little can go a long way. I made this in mini loaf pans and I made six from this recipe. I gave them as presents for moms and kept one for me. I ate about two pieces from the mini loaf pan and it kept me full all afternoon. This could really help my diet. Everyone who bakes should try this.

I have looked at this recipe for quite some time now, but resisted making it as I don't care for dates. After reading all the reviews, I am going to make it and substitute either dried cranberries or raisins for the dates. I trust Ina, and know that one way or another, this will be wonderful!

I took a plate of this yummy bread and topping to work to share with my crew. When I left for the day, they handed me the empty plate and said to fill it up when I come back to work tomorrow :
It was so very good.
I didn't have the orange liqueur on hand so I substituted 2 tbsp of cooking Sherry and the juice of 1 orange. I was pleased with the results.

Saw this on Ina's show yesterday. My mom loves all of the ingredients. Test run is in my oven as we speak. Smells amazing!
