    I have made this apple pie recipe 3 times now and each time it comes out PERFECTLY!! Best pie crust I have ever made!!! I left out the orange juice because most of the reiews said too citrusy and it turns out perfectly everytime.

    He eats a lot of apple pie and said it was too tart and the apples were not cooked well enough for the recipe. Liked the spices, but not his favorite.

    I have been searching for the perfect pie crust for a very long time, and it has finally arrived. I didn't make the apple pie, I just used the crust for strawberry-rhubarb pie, but I trust the contessa all the way!!!

    I prefer a slightly sweeter pie... this had a few too many spices for me. I did love the crust! The crust was the best part of the pie... it did get slightly overdone in my opinion, so I will have to either lower the temp or time.

    We loved it and we didn't want to get out the food processesor so we did the pie dough in the kitchenaid and it worked great.
