This is the best apple pie ever!! The
crust is outstanding and very easy to work with. It is such an impressive looking pie. I made this pie for a Christmas party and had several women approach me and ask how on earth I could make a pie crust like that.

We made the pie crust as directed and it is wonderful, flaky, and delicious. We varied the pie a little, we used apples and peaches... very yummy!

This was just ok. First of all I could not fit all of the filling into the crust. There was just too much filling. Also, there should be more cinnamon or nutmeg because all I could taste was the orange and lemon zests. Finally, Granny Smith apples may be a little too tart for an apple pie.

I made up this pie for a group of co-workers and they simply loved it. They were amazed at how many flavors were in it. From the taste of lemon and orange, the spices and even the zest....they listed just about all the ingredients....plus the crust was very flaky. I will be making this one again and again.

The pie crust recipe was wonderful, very easy to roll out and apply; however, all my family and friends could taste was the lemon and orange zest - the apple taste was masked by the overpowering citrus flavor. The crust is a keeper - the apple pie recipe is not.

Good deep dish apple pie, but does not
quite come close to my Mom's deep dish or as she called it family size.

There are at least 8 inches of snow on the ground, but we're warm and cozy and eating the best apple pie we've ever tasted. Today I taught my 19mo. old daughter how to bake and we used this recipe- it came out perfectly! The crust was so easy to work with and baked to a even golden brown. Yummy-Even better warm w/ vanilla ice cream!
