Too intensely chocolatey! :( And I LOVE chocolate! But I didn't like this. Disappointing. =_=

Wonderful! I followed several reviewers' suggestions and increased sugar by 2 tablespoons, beat sugar and eggs until very thick and light, and used a wooden spoon to stir until it started thickening and then whisk. Other mods were almond milk instead of cows milk, 1 extra T cocoa because I didn't have any chocolate, and no cream at the end. To make it special, I put a dash of Garam Marsala for spice. Thickened up beautifully right at 5 minutes.

Pretty good. Mine curdled a bit so I had to strain it. I would actually always strain pudding before putting it in the fridge to set. Kind of an extra insurance to prevent any lumps. Also, I made a simple whipped cream to go on it: 1 cup of heavy whipping cream, and 3 tablespoons of superfine sugar.

The recipe said it serves 2-3 so I doubled it because we have another couple coming over for dinner tonight. It was way too much...I feel one batch is sufficient for four people. I guess it depends on how much each person gets. I was just going to use small ramekins, but due to the overwhelming amount, I dished them in large, fancy cocktail glasses. I watched this episode months ago and forgot how thick the pudding should get. My pudding took forever to thicken...about 40 minutes. I too turned up my gas stove from LO to 2 and then I saw a difference in the texture. It could have stayed on the stove even longer because I am now sampling the pudding after being in the refrig for almost two hours and I would like it a little thicker. It has a great flavor. I plan to serve it with homemade whipping cream and shaved chocolate on top.

This was AWESOME!!! It was very easy and came together very quickly for me. I did beat the egg yolk and sugar for a long time until it was very thick. I would also say that it easily makes 3-4 servings. I used a hand held mixture and when I added the milk, I had a very frothy mixture. Once I put it back in the pan and stirred with a wisk it thickened quickly. YUMMY!

a.maz.ing. i made it tonight and it was so easy to make and extremely delicious.
beware, it did take me much longer for it to thicken on my electric stovetop. i eventually had to turn the heat up higher to get it to thicken properly.

This pudding was very rich and satisfying to eat. Be aware, though, that when you pour the mixture back into the pot and stir until thickened, it takes a very long time. I kept thinking I'd done something wrong, but be patient.
