Super yummy with a loaf of SF Sour Dough bread. I didn't have the patience to schuck all those freash clams - so I rinsed them andtossed them in the pot and waited for the clams to steam open. My family loved picking them out out the shell.

It tasted pretty good. My husband thought clam chowder was usually thicker. So I'm scrolling through reviews getting ideas on how I might thicken it up. It looks like you use heavy cream or 1/2 &1/2. I thought I might double the rue. I like the idea of adding in some bacon.

WOW. Until the very end I wasn't sure how it would turn out. This is beautiful. I followed the Ina's directions and the reviewers, adding a little bit of chicken stock and I cooked bacon, though I haven't added it yet. And its already wonderful.

I can not believe how easy and delicious this recipe turned out. I used canned clams and the juice that came with it too. Next time I will diced the clams and add some corm. My husband and 8 year old daughter love it.

This was a delicious recipe. I used 1lb of frozen clams, thawed out and 8oz of bottled clam juice. I used the juice from the clam container too and used water to make 2 cups. My husband loved it. I will definitely put this in the keeper box.

Sooo good! A new family favorite! I did add in 1/2 pound of freshly crumbled bacon and replaced one of the cups of milk with half and half. Served with hot french bread...it can't be beat in my book! :D
