I made this last Thanksgiving, and it was simply amazing! Such a comforting fall dessert that was easy to put together and good enough for a special occasion. I doubled the apples in my recipe because I love the sweet and sour contrast with the cranberries, and also substituted greek yogurt in place of the sour cream. Ina has done it again with another flawless recipe!

I have made this many times, mostly at the request of others who have tasted it when they were eating dinner at my home. It is tart, but cranberries are tart. I really enjoy it. I make no changes to it. I don't understand the comments that it's like a cobbler. It isn't like any cobbler that I make. I think this is one you have to make to decide if it is your cup of tea.

This was a hit with me and my guests. I changed up the recipe and used raspberries/apples and switched out the sour cream for honey Greek yogurt. I agree with another reviewer that the consistency was closer to a cobbler than a cake but still very good :

Really great tasting cake, although I used only cranberries. I was debating on whether I should try using only strawberries next time. Any tips on how to go about doing this?

This is a great recipe, easy and "O" so good. I have made 4 of them this year. Also shared the recipe with people that enjoyed it so much.

This was simple and delicious. I used 8 ounces of cranberries, one granny smith apple and one cortland apple. Eveyone raved about this dessert. It was great after a huge Christmas feast. I am looking forward to making it again!!

For me it was more like a cobbler then a cake! I would put less cranberries and orange zest next time, because the taste it was too overwhelming! But is ok! Some adjustments and is going to be good

I made this for Thanksgiving. It was amazing, everyone loved it. I followed the recipe exactly. This will be a favorite in our house and I will be making other times than just Thanksgiving.

Unlike some of the other reviews, all of my guests loved the slight tartness of this dessert. Paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream it was divine. I had six requests for the recipe!

Trusting your five star recipe, I made this cake once to see if it would pass the test with my husband and best friends. They are a tough sell. My husband says "it is the best cake he ever ate and Linda, you must make this for me all the time"! My friends said "this cake is a keeper"!
I then made it in my Pampered Chef 10" pie dish and presented it at Thanksgiving. No one could believe that I made this beautiful scrumptious dessert. Ina, thank you so much. You made me so proud.: I give this recipe a 10+ and you too!!
