Fantastic. I made this for a party and doubled the recipe. I used half lobster and half shrimp. Really easy. Was able to do the final prep while having drinks and tapas with guests. People loved it!

Wow! Ina does it again! We made this for a dinner party and it was a huge success. And...it was not at all difficult. Don't hesitate to try this.

Loved this recipe! SOO easy and tasted great! I used 2 pounds of shrimp instead of Lobster. Cheaper! Great flavor!

Although the flavor of this dish was very good I felt the rice was way over cooked. I tasted the rice after the first 15 minutes in the oven and it was cooked. I should have removed it and finished the recipe without the extra 10 minutes in the oven. It turned out mushy. I will try it again. Maybe it was the basmati rice that I used.

I found it to be a great basis for Paella You can go anywhere you want with the sausage and fish I prefer any sausage shrimp clams and scallops I cant believe that lady fed the friend that is allergic to shell fish scallops, where does she think a scallop comes from.

I made this recipe last weekend and it came out FANTASTIC!! I added chorizo, chicken and used shrimp, instead of the more expensive lobster. I used some left over champagne I had for the dry white wine. It was one of the easiest recipes I've ever made. I can't wait to make it again!

Made this simple easy recipe several times. Tried it once with lobster.....too expensive. Used chicken, shrimp, & kielbasa sausage instead. Browned the sausage first. Definitely use saffron. Will definitely make it again!

This paella is not quite authentic but it is quick and easy and very tasty. As for gfc2001's comments below, how on earth can 1/2 tsp saffron threads overwhelm a dish???

Thanks to Ina for this recipe - it's a keeper.

i love this recipe. Instead of the basmati rice and saffron (which is $14 or more where i live i used mahatma yellow saffron rice. I also added baby scallops, chicken, and clams to the dish. because some family memembers are allergic to shellfish, i omitted the lobster & instead added imitation crab meat. Overall the dish is great, you can substitute some things to make it a more affordable meal, you just have to be creative. =
