My favorite fish dish ever. Husband said it was restaurant quality. I've made 3 times, using flounder instead of sole because that's what they had at the store. I add a dash of white wine to the pan at end. Delicious!

My husband and I loved this. I only had 2 lemons and thought it was enough. I like a little more sauce so will add some white wine next time plus capers.

Love Ina, but agree that this was too tart. I will definitely try again, and use less lemon juice next time and see what happens. I just browsed the Anne Burrell recipe and she uses 2 TBSP for her recipe and Ina uses 6 for the same amount of fish/butter. I think it will be great next time with modifications.

The lemon was far too overpowering... we're big seafood fans, but this was not for us!

If I could give this a rating of ten stars, I would. The best fish I have ever put in my mouth. I followed exactly using meyer lemon because that is what I had and just thought it was fantastic. I can't wait to make this again!

Well, this is my third B'foot Contessa recipe and they've all been 'meh'. My market didn't have sole so I bought flounder instead. I read all the reviews before cooking this and decided to cut back on the lemon and butter. For my first batch, I used two tablespoons of butter instead of three and 1/2 lemon instead of 1.5. I didn't measure the lemon zest. When that batch barely produced any sauce, I upped the second batch to three Tbsp butter and 1 whole lemon. The kids ate the first batch and commented on its lemony flavor (neither raving or refusing to eat it. My husband ate the top piece from the second batch which had the most sauce. He thought it was too lemony. I liked mine. He then finished one of the kid's dishes and said that he was able to taste the fish without the extra lemon. I liked how fast it was to prepare. My kitchen was a mini disaster as is the case with any 'fast' recipe. I think I'll probably make this again with some modifications.

Absolutely wonderful! Such an easy dish to make...slight change was that I used parsley in a tube and swirled it into the sauce just before it was completely done. Gave a nice look and taste to sauce. My husband is not fond of lemon but he loved this! Thanks Ina...keep them coming!
