I left out the vinegar and added a 2 teaspoons of splenda. It was out of this world

I could have left the salt out completely. Great flavor! Love the hint green the skin of the cucumber adds.

This was a fantastic treat for my mom (who has health issues. My 4 year old even shared in it with her!! They both asked that I make it a regular snack for them!

Agree with most reviewers about the salt. Ina has a heavy hand, where salt is concerned, so I always adjust as I go with most of her recipes. Greek yogurt is pretty easy to come by these days, and sure beats straining regular yogurt in cheesecloth, as with other, more complicated tzatziki recipes. This is a staple in my recipe box- I serve with marinated lamb pieces on a skewer with pita or naan, and some shaved red onion- all on a big tray for do-it-yourself assembly. Great cocktail party food!

I used fat free yogurt, and this made a delicious fat free snack. It probably would have had a better flavor if I had used yogurt with some fat in it (fat free tends to have a slight aftertaste, but I was happy with the result and will definitely make again!

I tried this last night after preparing a similar recipe by Sandra Lee. The consistency of the tzatziki was wonderful and the flavors so fresh and satisfying, albeit a little on the salty side. I also thought that the addition of white wine vinegar AND lemon juice made this a little too acidic for my taste, but that's simply my opinion. As for the dill... again, maybe it's just me, but it seemed to overpower the other flavors. I'll make this again, definitely, but perhaps I'll eliminate the vinegar and reduce the amounts of salt and dill. But, thank you, Ina, for broadening my repertoire of ethnic recipes.

I think the amount of salt in the recipe was WAY to much. i like to follow the recipe the 1st time i make the dish. i think i should have gone without the full amount of salt it asked for. i will make it again though!

This is absolutely delicious! I made the tzatziki with less salt, no sour cream, and flat-leaf parsley instead of dill and it still came out fantastic! If you're looking for an easy yummy recipe, look no further!
