    this recipe turn out great. My husband loves eggplant and I never cooked it for him until this recipe. He was very impressed. I enjoyed it myself. I definately reccomend this to you!!!

    WOW, was all my husband could say when he tried this. I used the marinara sparingly so it wouldn't overpower the flavor. We loved this so much I'll be doubling the recipe next time!

    I prepared this receipe for my book club along with salad, chicken, and fresh bread. People who had never tried eggplant absolutly loved it. Those who had eaten eggplant before remarked that this was the best preparation of eggplant every. I love all of Ina's shows.

    This was a wonderful surprise! I don't cook with eggplant often, but I was in the mood for a vegetarian meal. My husband loved it and so did I. It was easy to put together and very satisfying. It is very important to get the oil hot enough (as Ina instructs in the receipe so the eggplant cooks quickly without absorbing too much oil. I'll definitely make this again!

    Best eggplant gratin i've ever had! Grew my own eggplant this year, homemade sauce - just delicious with a nice piece of homemade french bread (w/wheat flour too Another great recipe from Ina! Thanks

    First of all, I always have such a difficult time reading other reviews when it is so obvious the reviewers do not even have a clue how to prepare a dish and/or even prepare a dish they would enjoy "based on the ingredients...dah!" Yes, the exact preparation wording was incorrect, but use some common "cooking" sense. The dish came out wonderfully for me and my husband, who is not a big eggplant fan. He really enjoyed this dish especially with the steak sandwich (big hit! A very nice combination. Come on people, be creative, be smart and enjoy Ina's wonderful recipes and ideas for all to enjoy! Ina, your recipes are so delicious, heathly and simple...thank you!

    my husband liked this recipe so much we now cook this about once every two weeks. I myself found the receipe easy to follow and easy to shop for the ingredients. Thanks for the wonderful receipe.

    What a great, simple recipe. I used my first eggplant from our garden and it was delicious. I did put on a bit more parmagiana reggiano than the recipe called for.
