This was soooooo salty that we scraped the crumb mixture off the top and only ate the salmon. The only change I made was that I didn't include the oyster sauce because I didn't have it.

I halfed the soya sauce, didn't include the oyster or fish sauce and it was still too salty.

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My husband and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this dish! Some commented that the dish is too salty...no,no,no,no,no...it's just right! I've made is several times now and I can always count on it turning out delish. I've even doubled the marinade recipe and saved the extra in the fridge. We cooked this dish again later that week, and that made it a breeze to throw it all together. I can always count on Ina's recipes to be great!! Thank you Ina!

I liked this recipe. I omitted some of the more saltier items, such as the oyster sauce and the fish sauce, I don't really like those things, I used just a little bit of sweet and sour sauce instead, and I used a low sodium soy sauce and the other items and it was really good, my panko crumbs were crunchy and the salmon was moist and not dry. I do feel that you have to adjust it to your taste, so it's a keeper for me.

Made this twice now. A great recipe if you omit the fish sauce and use low sodium soy sauce!! Also, I used Hoisin instead of oyster sauce.

This is a very good recipe, but I would just say know your palate!!! I grew up in a household that was salt-free, the only salt we just if we absolutlety had to was kosher salt but in very small amounts. With that said I still wanted to try this recipe cause I love Ina's recipes and salmon is always good. My modifications were: 3/4 cup of low sodium soy sauce the other fourth cup I used water, and basically every other ingredient that contained a lot of sodium i used about half of (oyster sauce, fish sauce, etc. I liked the recipe this way, the salt was not overpowering at all, I made it for my grandmother and she loved it, even took some home!! Also if you want the top to be crispy I'd advise putting it on broil for like 2 minutes. For my own preference I might take out a little more sodium next time by using a half a cup of soy sauce and a half a cup of water hopefully this doesnt compromise the recipe!!Just know your palate folks!!

I would give this recipe a five out of five, when made with adjustments. First I used half the amount of soy sauce, low sodium. Then I halved the amount of oyster sauce and used only a dash of fish sauce. The topping did not crisp up the way I would have liked, and had to go under the broiler for two-three minutes. Overall, the original recipe is not my favorite of Ina's, but can be adjusted to suit your taste.
