This is also one of my favorite salads. Since I didn't have endive, tonight I substituted for baby leaf spinach. It's simple but elegant, and the flavors are great! Thank you Ina

This is hands-down my favorite salad. I find I almost always have all of the ingredients on hand, and specifically pick up endive on every grocery trip so I can make this. It can be a lovely side, or a hearty salad. At times I dont have pears on hand, but an apple or orange slices work just as well. My husband requests this salad often.

I served these as a starter for an Easter Brunch, and they pack a lot of wow factor. They make such a beautiful presentation, and the flavors and textures work so incredibly well together. I think it's my favorite salad! My husband told me to keep this years Easter brunch menu, and repeatedly throughout the day told me how good it was. Thank you Ina and foodnetwork for making it easy for me to impress my husband and my guests!

As usual, Ina has provided an elegant and delicious recipe. She is my go-to when I want to impress a crowd, her recipes never fail. Remember, you have to use the Kosher salt as it calls for. (Also, you do not need to put lemon juice to keep the pears from browning. On the show, she dips the pears in the dressing until you're ready for them, and there will be no browning. The flavor combinations were wonderful. I also used Bosc pears b/c my supermarket didn't have Bartlett, and it was great. Thank you Ina, you are the best!

This salad is fantanski, Ina's salads and dressing are the best. I have everyone of her books so they are right at my finger tips. Her dressings and sauces are the altimate. You have to try her mustard-horseradish sauce for prime rib. I make this as a pretzel dip all the way to a sauce for breaded pork chops and chicken to the best her prime rib. You can't miss with her salads and one of her sauces with your favorite meat recipe.

the Roquefort was too overpowering. Would make it again with a milder cheese

HAD THIS SUMPTUOUS SALAD WITH THE LEMON CHICKEN LAST NIGHT. SUPERB, ELEGANT AND SIMPLE. ALL WE ATE WAS THE SALAD AND LEMON CHICKEN WITH CROUTONS AND WE WERE FILLED. ONCE AGAIN INA IS THE BEST.

Easy to make; beautiful presentation; and my guests were practically swooning with delight while eating this luscious salad...every time someone took a bite, they would close their eyes and murmur, "Mmmmmmmmmmmmm!"
