I made this recipe for New Year's eve. it was a hit! The recipe was easy to follow. My sister who isn't even a meat eater loved ! All of the proportions were perfect, a great reduction sauce.

I've made this twice now and my husband and I are planning to make it for a dinner party. I used one medium onion instead of shallots, just as delicious!

This steak turned out perfect! The sauce was great and didn't overpower the meat. My boyfriend is very picky and he was in heaven! We wrapped them in foil and put them in the warm oven while I was making the sauce. (Oven was warm from making Ina's Cheese Puffs. I also made her caramalized shallots and herbed new potatoes. All turned out delicious. Ina makes me look like a chef! My boyfriend wants to invite his parents over to make the meal for them!

I've been wanting to make this for some time and wish I would have made it sooner. This was incredible. I didn't pour the sauce over the filet mignons though. I put it in heated condiment cups as a dipping sauce and the rest was in a gravy boat for those that wanted more. Cooked 4 mins on one side, 3 on the other, let them rest for about 10 minutes and they were perfectly medium rare.

This was so good! I made this for a nice, yet easy Christmas dinner for our little family. My husband said this was the best steak he has had in a long time. I, also, had thicker filets (and we like ours done medium, so I followed other reviewers and put this in the oven for 10 minutes. Still a little on the rare side (due to our thick steaks, but tasted wonderful, especially with the sauce, and very tender.

I can't believe how easy it was to make this! I had some ribeyes in the freezer so I substituted them for filets. It was delicious!!

I couldn't believe this was honestly the best steak I have ever had. Especially considering that I cooked it in a skillet. I am from the south and we are big in grilling on the BarB. I bought two 8 oz. filets cut from the larger end of the filet at the butcher. They were $19.99 a lb. So it cost $21.00 for 2 steaks but if you go out to eat it will cost more than this. Absolutley awesome! Ina never let's me down!!!

I waited to review this recipe after making it once because I thought it might have been a fluke. I have made this three times now, and each time my husband and I are amazed by how amazingly heavenly it is! Total restaurant quality! It is now our "night alone" tradition.
