I thought it was so-so, lacking, and cliche. I wasn't so keen on the hodge-podge of fruit she suggested either. I'm usually very positive about recipes, but this just didn't cut it.

this was so simple and tasted light and fresh. i 'll definitely make it again. you could also add some almond extract. i did that on one of my batches and it was good.

I could not figure out how to "pour" the mascarpone over the fruit. Did it need to be at room temp? It was very stiff, so it was more like spreading.

I served this with Angel Food Cake for dessert. Perfect ending to a great meal! The real vanilla beans gave it a special "real" taste.
