    Very tasty and the right sweetness. I boiled the water and sugar first with mint leaves,then followed the rest of the recipe.

    Haven't tried this yet but when I make fresh lemonade, I muddle the sugar and lemons till the sugar is incorperated into the lemons. I know this will be terrific because most of Ina's recipes are GREAT!!!

    I peeled the lemons and ran them through my juicer to get the most juice out of them. I also made a simple syrup with one cup of the water and the sugar since I wasn't planning on using a blender and wanted to make sure the sugar dissolved. Delicious! I just added the water and after pouring it over ice, it was just perfect.

    This is a wonderful balance of flavors without being too tart or sugary. It is by far the best lemondae recipe I've tried. I too use the 1/2 cup of sugar and just cubed ice instead of blending it all together. It works perfectly. My entire family loves this and once again Ina has a winner, thanks!

    I doubled the recipe and instead of crushed ice, I simply poured over cubes. Very good lemonade for a hot summer's day.
