These really were great. I mixed up a batch before Mad Men the other night. Since we had Crown Royal in the house I just used that, but otherwise made the drink as Ina directed. I'm not a huge whiskey fan because most drinks I've had with whiskey taste too boozy (in a bad way for me. This one wasn't terribly strong and the fresh citrus was spectacular. You owe it to yourself to try one, whether watching Mad Men or not.

I'm so excited to have made something at home that I really enjoy! It's delicious. I believe the fresh lemon and lime made the difference. A lot of folks are suggesting using Maker's Mark, but Jack Daniels has always been tasty to me, so.... I cut down on the amount of ingredients, since it's just me drinking tonight!

I love this little drink as does everyone I've ever served it to. I serve them over ice to cut the strength a bit and add a bit of marachino cherry juice with a garnish of orange slice and a cherry. Go ahead and make a double batch, you'll need it. I've tried with other bourbons but Jack is the best in my book. Thanks Ina!

This was delicious! In the interest of time I skipped the simple syrup and just added a little water and agave nectar to taste...that way I didn't have to fuss with the syrup and letting it cool, plus agave is supposed to be a little better on the glycemic index and it mixes well into cold liquids. Cheers!

I love experimenting with cocktails and have made many different kinds. This one is the most delicious yet, and I've never liked whiskey! After first making this I was eager to order one in a fancy bar we went to. I was so disappointed! This recipe is wonderful, Ina!

Wow-outstanding. I want to try it w/ Midori for a Midori Sour too. If you're impatient after reading the amazing reviews, the juice cooled down the sugar syrup so I was ready to go in no time. Great job Ina!
