I love the taste of this pie but I've made it twice and both times it turned too soupy after leaving it out of the freezer before serving.I'd love to know if I'm leaving it out too long.I love Ina's recipes but this one has me stumped.

I read so many reviews that stated too sour. I thought it was perfect. So did my family. I didn't even use the whipped cream. This is easy to make and cuts wonderfully to make perfect portions.
I also lived in FL. most of my life. We called every lime pie, Key Lime. Not just the ones made with the Key Lime.

I never eat Keylime in the restuarants because its not very good but this was really pretty good. Very homemade tasting. It was easy to make. If you like keylime you really should try this one.

wonderful recipe for a LIME PIE; but a KEY LIME PIE is made with KEY LIMES,only found from So. Florida through the keys...and they are small and yellow! PLEASE don't call this KEY LIME, as natives such as I know the difference!!!!

This was not a key lime pie. There were no key limes used and some 1ngredients were wrong. Key lime pie has a meringue on top not whipped cream. I can give you a complete recipe. I was born in Key West and am a true "conch" (tird generation.

Didn't care for this at all. Love the creamy texture of the original that bakes a little while to set the egg yolks. Other reviewers were correct that Ina really should not call this "KEY" lime since it doesn't contain any.

Delicious. I always use a chocolate crust.Being from Florida I have had many Key Lime pies, this rates up there with my favorites.
