this is really simple and delicious! I like to fry scallops in butter with kosher salt and cracked pepper (nothing else and place them top do not mix in the scallops with the sauce as the flavors compliment each other separately

Served this with Ina's Steakhouse Steaks and roasted potatoes. It was awesome! Next time, I think I'll serve it as a dipping sauce. It's so good, but so strong that sometimes it was nice to have a bite without it.

i made this yesterday along with inas filet of beef recipe. this sauce is the best. also, it's a no brainer. just make sure you use a large enough sauce pan, and don't walk away, as the cream likes to bubble up and could boil over if you're not there to occasionally stir. this will be my go to sauce. would be good on almost anything. i plan on pouring it over veggies, potatoes, other meats, etc. this sauce is so good i want to take a bath in it. ina, my husband and i love you. when is your next cookbook coming out?

Okay, this took quite a while for the cream to thicken up, but it was delicious!!! It is definitely worth the time required. I may not make it on a hectic holiday like Christmas again, but I will make it again, for sure. I am never disappointed with Ina's recipes.

I make this sauce 2-3 times a month and sometimes subsitute blue cheese. Our friends who don't like gorgonzola/blue cheese are now belivers. We usually serve with beef tenderloin but change it up with chicken & pasta. I usually serve with buttered mashed potato's and it serves as the most amazing gravy ever!!! Anyone who wants to impresse others definetly make this recipe. It's the best and our go to meal. We even stay home on anniversary's now and make this meal because it makes us so happy.

This sauce is amazing and quite simple. You really need to keep an eye on it so it doesn't boil over. It was just wonderful over filet mignon that I cooked according to Ina's "Steakhouse Steaks" recipe. I served them with roasted red and yellow potatoes and a simple green salad. The sauce was an excellent pairing with the meat (and potatoes!. I made it ahead of time and then heated it over low heat on the stove, whisking vigorously until it came together. Tonight my brother is going to use the leftovers on some fettucine pasta. Oooohhh so delicious. I will definitely be making this again. An simple dish that really WOW's!

This is the most delicious sauce!! It looked and tasted like a cream sauce you would get at a fine dining establishment...maybe even better! I can't wait to try it with chicken. You do have to watch the pot carefully and stir occassionally otherwise it may boil over. A small inconvenience for such a fabulous sauce.

Just made this for a dinner party tonight. I served it over beef tenderloin. Everyone loved it. A few people put it over their grilled chicken. Super easy to make, just make sure you are in the kitchen. Will boil over if you have the temp. too high.
