This a truly wonderful sauce to use on any type of beef. I highly recommend it.

Personally, I think putting any sauce on a great fillet is kind of gilding the lilly but if you must, this is a good one. Just be extemely careful when reducing the cream unless you want to redecorate the kitchen - it boils over in a heartbeat - don't just turn it on high and walk away!

This sauce was extremely easy to make and tasted as delicious as it looked when Ina made it on the show. I served it with steak and broccoli. The sauce was fantastic over both the vegetable and the meat. Thanks Ina for another great recipe!

I made this with the filet of beef and it was divine. Special occasion for my Grandmother's 84th b-day and it was perfect.

I gave it a try, but 50 minutes to boil heavy cream is too much. Try Rachael Ray's 30 minute version where she makes 3 sauces in 30 minutes.

I made this for my future in laws, and for her to ask for the recipe, I knew it was good! It was so easy to make (a little time consuming, but well worth itand tastes great reheated too.
I'm very intimidated by cooking, but I serve this recipe along with the filet of beef and potatoes at dinner parties now and feel confident that our guests will leave with a full belly and a smile!
