Like another poster, I only used about half of the 4th cup of flour. The KitchenAid did most of the work, which is always nice when kneading is involved. I baked my pizzas in a 500F oven for 12 minutes and the crust crisped up nicely on the edges and tasted great. It didn't get too crispy on the bottom, though, especially toward the middle, so next time I'm going to try a pizza stone. I think that maybe there's only so much you can do in a home oven, and I didn't want to burn the toppings trying to crisp the whole crust. I'll keep experimenting. I wish I had a grill like the recipe recommends, but my apartment bans them. Until I move I'm stuck with the oven...

I was just looking for a pizza crust recipe for the grill. I made it exactly according to the recipe, and it came out perfect! I didn't need to add anything else, the measurments were just right. I used the crust for barbequed chicken pizza and it was delicous. I find that Ina's recipies are always "no fail," and usually always look for her recipies when I'm looking for something specific to make.

This is going to be served for all my summer company-it's that good. I had already made Giada's dough but decided to try Ina's cooking method and toppings. What a cool process-we all think it tastes like brick oven pizza. I will definitely use Ina's dough next time as I love that someone called it the Holy Grail!

I was looking for a pizza dough receipe, that didn't take the whole day to make, and came across this. It was super easy, and turned out great. I made the pizza's in a regular oven, and split the dough into 2 to make 2 good sized pizza's. I baked them at 400 for about 15-20 minutes. The dough rises quite a bit, so if you like thin crust, roll it out pretty thin. Will definitely make this again!!

I've tried a number of times to make a pizza crust, I've been looking for a good pizza crust recipe and this is it. I used around 3 1/2 cups flour, because that's how much the dough seem to need to get to be smooth and elastic after some kneading in the electric mixer, as the recipe says to put the 4th cup of flour as much as it's needed only. I let the dough rise in an oiled bowl covered with a kitchen towel for 2 hours, this is how I also make breads. I baked the pizza in the oven on parchment paper on a cookie sheet at 425 degrees F, for 12-15 minutes, until the cheese on the outer sides was browned and crust was golden brown.

This is so easy, tasty and crispy. I make it for friends as I have a good mixer. It keeps well in refrigerator (I seal individual parcels in food saver bags before vacuum has finished.
