This was the hit of the party! The marinated chicken and the satay really complemented each other.

I didn't make the chicken this way, I just made my regular grilled chicken breasts and then sliced them. The DIP though was really really good. Worth the effort, big crowd pleaser.

I used dried thyme instead of fresh and it still tasted great. I marinated the chicken overnight and it turned out with a wonderful lemon flavor that was not too overpowering. I loved the satay dip, as well! I had some of the dip leftover and thinned it out a bit... it ended up being a great dipping sauce for french fries!

Love this recipe, will make it again!

My family loves the chicken and especially the satay dip. I have made it as a main dish without the skewers and only marinated for 4-5 hours and was still quite pleased with the results.

I have made Ina's grilled lemon chicken many times, and I follow the directions exactly. The chicken DOES have a strong lemony flavor if you marinate it overnight. I really like it. I do think, however, if you are going to serve it with the peanut satay dip, that it would be better to have a milder lemon flavor so the two flavors don't clash. This is a great lemon chicken recipe, and the chicken has never gotten rubbery from overnight marinating.

The chicken was delicious and completely went (I even made more at a party I attended. But a lot of the dip remained. I thought it was good, but I wondered if it was worth the effort. I saw a jar in the supermarket and wondered if I should just doctor that up. Also, the crowd I was with was new to satay, so I think the taste of the dip surprised them, but not particularly in a good way.

I thought this would be a great recipe, but the satay dip was way overpowering. I did not enjoy this sauce at all. Tha being said, I think the lemon in the chicken marinade was a little intense as well, but maybe it was due to my lemons. I used the exact amount the recipe called for, and we had very tart, sour chicken, with very strong overpowering satay dip. And the skewer sticks seemed unnecessary, frankly. I am of Asian descent, and was looking for a similar flavor, but this was too strong. It was a bold flavor, and I think it is just a matter of personal taste.

I made this for a bridal shower and it was a big hit! The peanut dip is pretty simple to make, but has huge flavor!

Ina does it again with a recipe that delivers on bold, wonderful flavors. An amazing dish that we will make again and again. Try it!
