Chicken had great flavor even though it was marinated for only two hours but the sauce was very gloopy and thick. Don't think i would make the sauce again but i will make the chicken.

Great tasting chicken and satay dip. The only problem I had was skewering the chicken after it was cooked. It was so tender it was difficult to thread on the sticks. Next time I will try skewering after marinating but before grilling...

I marinated the chicken overnight as per the instructions and it was clearly way too long. The chicken was mushy and way beyond lemony, downright SOUR! Ick! The sauce had a good flavor, but a nasty consistency--to thick. Worse, the longer it sat, the gloppier it got, and the oil started separating. Glad I tested this one on my husband instead of blindly serving it at a party! I've used a lot of Ina's recipes in the past with great success, but this one I'm deleting from my recipe box!

I made this for a picnic on the beach and it was fabulous. The chicken was so good I would make it again as a main dish. The satay dip was very tasty although you need quite a few ingredients to put it together.

We have used several of Ina's recipes in the past, and this is the first time she has let us down. The chicken was terrible! Marinating for so long made it taste like pure, bitter lemon. Ugh! None of us could eat it. Perhaps if it had marinated for no more than an hour it would have been edible. The satay sauce was okay, but I've got a better recipe that doesn't have any of the ketchup flavor that I found off-putting. We ended up eating PBJ instead.

This is such a great recipe. Especially for a buffet. The dip is sooooo yummy.
