Began to prepare this for dinner tonight, but my family could not wait. They were hawking around so added the dressing and they enjoyed it for lunch! I used red wine vinegar. Even my 19 month old grandaughter enjoyed it. Thanks!

My family loves this salad. I served it last week with guests over and they too really enjoyed it.

Really simple and amazing "salad"! Had my husband grill the veggies the day before while he was grilling chicken. Made the Panzanella the next day. Wasn't too sure the family would be crazy about it but turned out better than I imagined. Healthy and delicious! Everyone loved it! Thanks Ina

Thanks Ina for this great recipe. It's an easy and tasty way to use the veggies in my crisper and have a cool healthy addition to my dinner. I saved a few chunks of bread on the side instead of adding all of it to the salad for the next day- avoids sogginess. YUM!

Have made this recipe a couple of times and it is fantastic! Followed the recipe almost as is but I skipped the dressing since I am not a big "dressing" person and simply tossed it in olive oil and added some crumbled blue cheese at the end. So delicious - will make this again and again and again.

Even though this is outstanding made in the summer ( I first made this salad the summer of 2009, this can be delicious all year. I was able to find grilled peppers in the freezer section of the grocery store and just grilled the onions and bread on the stove top. I have brought this salad to many picnics with great reviews. However, don't add the dressing too early or the bread will get a bit soggy. Thanks Ina and everyone "Bon Appetite".

Made this for dinner tonight with Ina's Tuscan Chicken; was wonderful! Used tomatoes, peppers, and cucumber from my garden, even grilled an ear of corn to throw in! Had been collecting day old continental Italian bread in my freezer, after I grilled the bread I rubbed it with a cut garlic clove. Made a fantastic salad!

I loved this salad! I didn't have capers though, so I used a few pickled pepper rings. I used some sour dough bread we had, and the taste was wonderful. I think my favorite part was the grilled bread in that wonderful dressing.

This is definately a 5 star dish as it is excellent with so much flavor! This will be a favorite from this day onward. I added marinated grilled chicken to serve for a main dish and WOW, it was tasty as could be. And between my husband and I ,we ate almost the whole dish. This can be served in so many ways....a main dish with addition of meats such as chicken or sausage , a side veggie dish for a crowd or luncheon, and a starter for a party. Thanks Ina for this recipe, and to the food network. Love to watch all the creations and ideas!
