I used frangelico instead of an almond liquor, and although I was happy with the dessert, I was surprised by how difficult it was to taste the rum and frangelico. The peaches I used were very ripe, and sweetened up nicely when grilled. I'm not sure that the sugar, sauce and extra cooking made much of a difference. I may try to soak the peach halves in a little bit of the sauce before grilling next time.
