Very good recipe. This was my first time grilling fresh tuna and it was cooked perfectly.

Simple and delicious, a wonderful way to taste the flavor of the tuna.

I'd been fighting the desire to fix tuna as it always turns out dry and tasteless. When I found this recipe during my search, I thought it was worth trying given the reviews. It was absolutely as simple and tasty as it appears. And truly, two and a half minutes is the outside you want to cook the tuna - even when it comes out the pan rare, the resting time really allows for more cooking, so err on the side of less time rather than more time - you'll be glad you did!

This is the only way to cook fresh tuna. It's also good with a tiny drizzle of sesame oil and a light sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds. Saute a big skillet of fresh baby spinach with a little garlic and you've got a great meal.

To Chef #971345, YES, YES, YES! This IS a recipe! The simplicity of it may not impress you, however, if you ever take a bite of this tuna steak, it's absolutely awesome! Too bad there are only 5 stars possible. This one would rate a 10!

I've had Tuna done this way at a couple of top-notch restaurants, and it's awesome! I was really pleased to see Ina do this, so we could all try our hand at it.

For people who haven't tried sushi or if raw fish bugs you out, this is an awesome recipe to try! In many ways this is better than (beef steak!

    Cheers!

It makes a big difference not to cook the tuna all the way through!
To amp up the flavor levels, rub on cumin or curry powder.

Ina does it again! My husand loves seafood, this was perfect. A few minutes on the grill a 5 minute rest and one happy husband. I will make this again. Thanks
