I love this guacamole. I usually omit the hot sauce and onion to make it a little more mild, but it tastes great either way!

This is pefect guacamole, ever since I watched Ina make it in 1999....that's the ONLY way I make it now....for me it is just right, simple & easy and flavorful, I like mine a little on the chunky side, I figure why get all fancy...this is perfect (for me and the lemon is just fine also, all you need are some good crunchy tortilla chips and an ice cold beverage!!

This turned out so delicious! I like the idea of adding cilantro & jalapeno, but this was still absolutely yummy as is. I served it with homemade tortilla chips--so much better than the bagged variety.

This is a good base, but I like lime better because it seems more authenic to me. Also, Ina doesn't like cilantro, but I love it so I added a bunch to this recipe. Lastly, I swapped out pepper sauce for jalapena and added 1 chopped to the recipe and then I ended up with a winner. Since I made a couple of changes, I gave it a four rating instead of a five. Every other recipe I have made by Ina, I haven't had to change a thing. She definitely makes me look like I can really cook and I just love that she shares such wonderful recipes.

Simple to make, and I like the addition of diced tomato, the contrast of the red and green (colors of Mexican flag look good. I like that it has some body, not totally mushy like some. However, I used lime instead of lemon, seemed intuitively more logical to me and tastes better to me--and I had to add chopped cilantro at end, without it it just isn't the same! I had a jalapeno handy, so I diced it small and added that along with some hot sauce. Light and tasty.
