I chose this dish to take for a teacher appreciation lunch. Everyone loved it and wanted the recipe. I was nervous about making this dish because with ingredients like garlic, jalapeno and onion, you never know if one of those ingredients will overpower the dish. But it was a perfect blend of ingredients. Also, the avocado didn't brown because of the lime juice in the dressing. This salad still looked pretty after several hours. Thanks!

Absolutely delish. I left out the yellow pepper & used one serrano pepper instead of jalepeno. It is a dish I would serve proudly to company!

I love avocados & guacamole so this recipe is a yummy new twist on guacamole, all the ingredients are simple and it's easy to make! it's a great side dish for tacos or if you add chicken or any other meat it's a meal on it's own. As always THANK YOU Ina for your no fail, yummy, simple recipes!!!

I really did not care for the appearance or the taste of this dish. The avacado just seemed to dissenagrate into the liquid and you could barely taste it. I think if you were to add it to a meat such as pork and poured it over it, that it would be much better. By the way any leftovers did not hold up well either in the refrig. I also think the title is not right. maybe Guacamole Topping?

I normally love all of Ida's recipes. this is first that I did not care for at all. If I make it again, I will use it as a topping but definitely "tweak" the ingredients.

Went on holiday with friends and I took all the ingredients along to make as a snack. Let's just say it went so fast my head spin! They all loved it. Ina's recipes are the best. Never made one I did not like. Also, check out her French chocolate bark. It is to die for!

My family loves this, I add fresh corn and new potatoes to this which jazzes it up a notch. The fresh corn puts it over the top! Can use can if fresh not in season.

Love this salad. It's not even remotely guacamole, though. Not a big deal, but I did wonder if I was making it right the first time.
This salad is indeed a thing of beauty -- I always use a clear bowl to serve it in.
I do think the recipe calls for too much oil, but I make up for it by adding another avocados and not using quite as much oil. Delicious!

Quite tasty. I marinated some shrimp in lime, olive oil, cumin, and salt and then grilled it. Put it on top of the salad. Delicious. What would be better probably is to add a bottom layer of lettuce, then the guac salad and then the shrimp. With some nice crunchy bread. Thanks for the recipe!

I have now made this for 3 family parties, and everyone always says it's beautiful to look at and tastes wonderful. I have added corn and black beans once and the another time more peppers, Red yellow and orange and more jalopeno's. This dressing is wonderful and I have used this to marinate chicken also. Thanks again Ina for another wonderful recipe.
