Every Ina recipe works well for me and this one did too. Easy to make and comes out looking like I'm a chef! My guests loved it, most asking to have it again and for the recipe. This will be on my buffet again and again....

I love Ina's recipes and am so grateful for her laid-back hosting style. It's liberating to be able to focus on two or three special dishes and keep the rest simple. This was my favorite recipe from the cocktail party episode.
I'm not sure what the fuss is about the format. I found this recipe immediately when I came looking for it. Maybe it's because I'm new to the site and not accustomed to the way it was before?

I, too, had a hard time finding this recipe after watching the show. If you wish to give Food Network your feedback about the new format of the website, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "Contact Us." There's an opportunity to voice your comments.
Re: this recipe. I used 1/2 pound of the black forest ham instead of 1/4 pound and the proportions were much better.

Recipe was easy and everyone loved it! I added a lot more ham and will slice the cheese thinner next time so it melts more. I cut into bite size pieces with a pizza cutter. If anyone tries this recipe with a different food combination, (turkey? veggie? let us know!

The old web connection was so much better. This is so frustrating. I'm happy others think the same way. I thought I was the only one. I love the Food Network Site. Betsy

Made this two nights in a row this weekend for different groups of guests. Ham, cheese, and pastry...fabulous! Easy to prepare, great presentation, not a bite leftover. Will definitely make again and again!

I happened to see Ina make this on her show so I ventured forth and tried puff pastry for the first time.
It was easy, tasty and looked like I spent hours making it.
I used thin sliced ham but next time I'll double up on the amount. I found the cheese overwhelmed the amount of ham I used.

It was difficult to find this recipe. I LOVE Ina's recipes so I know that this one is fantastic, but PLEASE get rid of the format for this site. The old one was much easier and user friendly. So I give 0 stars to this web site!!!!

This recipe was easy to prepare and the taste was wonderful. You can easily change the ingredients and make this a dozen different ways for more variety. Although, the dijon mustard, ham, and cheese is a wonderful start.
