Big hit at Christmas. We served it with ham and it complimented it nicely! I also cut back on the onion, used 2 very large apples and baked it in the oven. Everyone really like it. I'll make it again.

Very tasty. I used vegetable stock instead of chicken. I will definitely add more stock next time, it was rather dry.

Very tasty and very easy to make. Made this a vegan dish by swapping off the chicken stock for vegetable and also swapping the butter for vegan spread.
Will make this again for sure!

I made this today (Thanksgiving and took a quick nibble to see what it tasted like. It was wonderful! I did cut down the onion to just one, and omitted the rosemary (I don't like it very much, and I also used 1 1/2 baguettes (vs the 2 the recipe calls for based on reviews that it was too much. I had the perfect amount for my 13.5 lb turkey! Next year, I might throw in a carrot and some sausage as well. Thank you, Ina! Great recipe!

This is an amazing recipe, I like to add a few things to it myself to tweek it but it absolutely was fabulous, on the side I had granny glazed apples and almonds to serve over the stuffing!

    Wonderful!

This didn't turn out too well for me, although I didn't follow the recipe exactly. I didn't want to over-stuff my 12 lb turkey, so I cooked most of the stuffing in a separate casserole dish covered with aluminum foil on the bottom burner in the oven. I cooked it for about 1 hour at 350 degrees and it ended up dry, tasteless, and almost burnt. The stuffing I put in the turkey did turn out pretty well, but it was only about 1/4 of the entire amount of the stuffing I made. I just think this recipe must work better for enormous turkeys... to use all that stuffing in a 12 lb. turkey would make it cook unevenly.

I just love this stuffing and all Ina's recipes. Tweeked it a little for Christmas Eve dinner, substituted leeks for 1/2 the onions, added a sage breakfast sausage, used sage instead of rosemary, and omitted the nuts. The family practically licked the dish clean!

I wanted to do an apple stuffing without any meat because some family members are vegetarians. Everyone loved it! I used fresh sage and fresh thyme. Didn't have the parsley.

Ina, what can I say? This was the BEST stuffing I have ever made. I made it with Anne's Brined Herb-Crusted Turkey w/Apple Cider Gravy which kept with the theme of apple and it was TERRIFIC! What a huge hit at my Thanksgiving table this year! It's always great to feel like a Food Network Chef for one day!! Next Thanksgiving I'll be cooking Barefoot again!

I made this for Thanksgiving and felt it was too onion-y. I would definitely use half the amount of onions next time and consider adding raisings.
