This is my favorite garlic bread recipe, by far. I've added a slathering of melted butter to each side of the sliced loaf, and it makes it even tastier. Recently, I made two loaves, and used one stick of melted butter and just doubled the recipe. Delicious! Thanks, Ina - Iove your recipes.

Great recipe - used basil and parsley from my garden! I used one less garlic clove and only 1/3 cup of oil. I added a Tbsp. of butter and that really added more flavor.

The herbs really add a lot of flavor to this garlic bread! Beware: the garlic/herb/olive oil mixture cooks very fast and can burn very quickly, so keep it to one minute on the stove.

Even though I sliced my hand open cutting the bread and a trip to the hospital almost occurred, my father assembled the bread for me. The oil and spice mixture was great! I loved all of the flavors and so did he. My mom didn't like all the garlic (even though I used fewer cloves... I will definitely make this again!

I halved the olive oil mixture because I was using a smaller baguette, and still felt that it was too greasy. The flavor was ok, but I would have liked more garlic.

I made this recipe exactly as written except with a pinch of salt instead of a teaspoon. Prepared it about 2 hours before dinner and right before we, ate cut the bread, spread the mixture and popped it in the oven. SO delicious!!!!

Made this twice and both times it came out wonderful and delicious. I use fresh parsley and basil from my garden and I was very happy with the results. I always love Ina's recipes and watch her every day. I just cut back on the salt to half a teaspoon.

You did it again, of course I am not surprised. I LOVE salt and this was even a bit too salty for me. But other than cutting back on that, it was perfect!
