Really enjoyed a lighter version of an old classic. I did add roasted broccoli to this, which turned out really well. Do make sure to use a good, dry white wine---I will choose better next time---but will be making this again and again.

After reading all the comments, a lot of you said the recipe forgot to include the chicken stock and white wine as in the TV show. According to this recipe the chicken stock and wine are included in the dressing. In the show she poured them on the potatoes first and then used the rest of the ingredients to make the dressing, which she added to the potatoes after the stock and wine had soaked into them. Haven't had a chance to make this recipe yet, so don't know if adding the stock and wine to the potatoes first or to the dressing will make that much difference. It sounds really good and easy!

This indeed is the BEST potato salad EVER!!! It was so flavorful and it looked like it would take a lot of effort...which it didn't! Not to mention way healthier than your average mayo and egg potato salad. The cooking method for the potatoes was also wonderful, the potatoes turned out just right. When my husband first looked at and smelled it he turned to me and said "I don't think im going to like that.." He ate it all up!!! He had the leftovers as a snack later that day! : I didn't have Tarragon so I used Thyme and Rosemary instead, it was still delicious! I will definitely be making this again!! I think everyone should try this!

I had never used fresh tarragon before; now I'm using it in many 'old' recipes to give them a new twist. I actually used this dressing as a marinade on chicken and it was a big hit. The method of letting the potatoes rest under the dish towel was new to me also, and it really makes a difference in the outcome.

I would really like to send an e-mail but there doesn't seem to be any posted on the food network. I know Ina has a Jewish background and was wondering if she had a family reciepe for a holiday dish made with noodles. It is a type of noodle pudding called Kuggle. Not sure of the spelling.
Thank You ...My e-mail is darliegurl@yahoo.com PS Chocklate Cake is great and so easy to make.

Why doesn't the recipe call for the 1/2 of chicken stock that Ina used? Looks like to me they could put the recipes on here RIGHT if they wanted us to keep coming back!

Why is this recipe different from the one she made on the show? During the show, Ina poured at least a cup of chicken stock on the warm potatoes prior to adding any dressing. That would make an enormous difference.
