This was wonderful...I thought maybe the dry mustard and the herbs would be overpowering but it wasn't at all. I also threw in some carrots and onions while it was roasting....yummy! Thanks...as always Ina your recipes are great!!

I used this recipe as my first meal in my new oven. I was excited until I realized the oven wasn't calibrated. I did all sorts of oven voodoo; turned up the heat, turned down the heat, switched to convection, went back to regular, cooked it longer... All of that craziness and this turkey STILL came out smelling like a rose, or a delicious sage-y dream, if you will. Even my meat and potatoes husband said it was fantastic. And it was. Try it, you will love it. I can't wait to make if for my mother-in-law. It is better than hers!!! ;

This recipe is fantastic! I used a half breast the first time and used turkey breast fillets the second time. My family loved it! The turkey is so flavorful and moist! I gave the recipe to my daughter in Colorado and they are enjoying it as well!!

THANK YOU, Ina.
I love turkey but not the legs, wings and the messy chore. This recipe was a different story altogether, I will be cooking turkey a lot more often!
The first time I used the 'bone in' turkey breast and it was great. I had no problem with the wine drying up. (I think those that had that problem, might have an inaccurate oven reading I actually over-cooked it ,as I went out and did not get home in time. When I checked the internal temp. it was 185 yet it still was moist and tasty! While the turkey was resting, I made stuffing which called for a whole stick of butter, I used 1/2 that and substituted some of the liquid from turkey pan. It was the best stuffing too! The next day, I made the best turkey soup with the bones.
2nd time I used 2 turkey boneless breast. Since the weight was approximately the same, I used the same amounts but cooked it less time. This too, came out great! Ina, you are terrific! I never posted a review before but this was so incredible, I had to say something!

Took close to 3 hours to cook. i needed to add more liquid during cooking. I do reccomend using thermometer. My turkey breast had a pop-up button, which popped up after I took it out of the oven. Was worried cause I didnt have a rack.Didnt matter it turned out wonderful. Drippings made adelicious gravy. Turkey was super moist. My husband and I agree best turkey we ever had. So easy to prepare.

This was the first time I really mixed up how I cook turkey. Usually I do the same ol boring thing, but decided I wanted something new this time.
All I can say is WOW!
Keep an eye on the time though and go by temp instead. I had a 5.5lb breast and it took 2 hours to cook.

I've made this recipe 3 times now and it has got to be the easiest way to make delicious turkey. I can't believe how moist and flavorful the turkey breast is. I've used different combinations of herbs (depending on what I have on hand and have been happy with the results every time. If you haven't tried this recipe yet, do it! Thanks, Ina!
