We made this tonight only we used a huge chicken and I added a Tbs of lemon zest to the rub. It was the most delicious, moist chicken I have ever had. We will definitely make this again, only next time hopefully we will be able to buy a fresh turkey breast instead.

I made this for a whole turkey. I tripled the herb recipe and put it on a 15 pound bird. The turkey was delicious and the turkey soup that i made the next day from the leftovers was even better with all the herbs!

This was the best turkey I've ever served. My guests raved about it. I used a 20lb whole turkey, instead of a turkey breast and doubled the recipe. I also added some finely chopped onion to the rub and sprinkled on some paprika for color. It was just great! I also made the gravy featured in this episode and it was perfect.

I , also, can attest to the best turkey breast I havae ever cooked. This method was easy to do, and the results were well worth the extra marinading time. The meat was tender. so flavorful and the juice ran out of the meat with every slice. I could hardly believe that I had cooked this bird! The family loved it and all want to try it at Christmas. It definitely was a hit!
I watch Ina Garten almost every day and feel that she is the most "put together" and organized chef on the network. If you follow her instructions, most of the time you end up with a scrumptious dish. She is clear, concise and colorful and who doesn't love her Geoffery?!!!

I host Thanksgiving every year for a LOT of people and I'm always trying to find a really good turkey recipe. I've tried it all and I've never been too impressed. My husband tells me I'm expecting too much from a turkey: Not to mention I married into a family full of chefs and restaurant people...so no pressure at all! This year we fried one big turkey but needed more, so I decided to try this recipe. SOOOOO glad I did. It is by far the best turkey I've ever made. Tender, juicy, flavorful...perfect. Everyone loved it. The recipe temp and time was right on for me...the only thing I did that wasn't in the recipe was prep it 24 hours in advance. Don't know if that made a difference but it certainly didn't hurt.
I will use this recipe from now on. YUM!

I bought a eight and half pound turkey breast. This recipe was outstanding. The aroma of it cooking had everyone talking about how wonderful it smelled.
It was the best I have ever had. I increased the cooking time by approximately half an hour. Thank you! I want to try it on boned in chicken breast.

WOW! How yummy! This is how I will prepare all my turkeys in the future! It got rave reviews from the family! I doubled the recipe and rubbed this under the skin and on the outside of a 21 lb. turkey. Cooked it in a bag for 3 hours, and did not add any liquid to the bag. I still had gravy coming out my ears! I have cooked many turkeys in my life, but none as moist and flavorful as this one! The herb flavors were outstanding! (I also used a probe for the first time. Can't wait for the leftovers! Thanks, Ina, for another great recipe! My family loves you!

I have cooked elaborate Thanksgiving feasts for family in the past and found myself exausted and not entirely thrilled with the results. This year, I prepared the Turkey Breast, and stuffing from this episode, preparing everything except the beans the day before. What a difference! The food was totally over the top excellent and i was relaxed and enjoyed my day totally! THANK YOU!!!! With this success, I think I could expand the guest list next year!

Thank you Ina...This recipe was so EASY to follow and what a great result. I didn't have the Lemon or the wine...I subsituted broth for the wine..The flavor of the fresh herbs just permiated the turkey...and it was the moistest turkey ever. I'll be doing this again next Thanksgiving..I feel so lucky..I was watching the episode of Barefoot Contessa when Ina presented this recipe...it was the day before Thanksgiving..Glad I was watching...made dinner all the better.
