My first review: Turkey tasted overpowered by all the herbs. I should have stuck to my old method of lemon, oil, and salt, but this recipe earned rave reviews so I had to try it.

I sliced the garlic very thin, instead of mincing it, and I used a teaspoon of ground sage instead of the fresh dried. However, I don't think these faux pas ruined the taste.

All Ina's recipes look devine, so I will certainly try more.

Unbelievably good! This was our first roasted turkey breast (we normally smoke them on the grill It was so juicy! I didn't use the sage but followed other reviews by using 1/2 stick of butter sliced and placed under the skin. I also basted and rotated the pan every 30 minutes to insure even cooking. I ran out of fluids early on so I added some chicken stock and a little more butter to the pan for basting. Will definitely do again!

Love it!! It was done in an hour and 45 minutes, a little earlier for a 7 lb breast. The flavor was awesome. I will never cook a whole turkey again. This will become a tradition in our house.

This was INCREDIBLE! tried this recipe out for the first time on Christmas day and it was the best turkey I think I've ever had. Great flavor, tender and juicy.

I cooked a whole turkey (about 16 lb. and so I doubled the recipe. I think I would cut down on the salt the next time, but the flavor was just great.

Definitely recommend to use the fresh herbs if you can....cutting them alone was so aromatic that I couldn't wait to actually eat the turkey. Highly reco!!!

I made this recipe today ... Christmas Day ... and I must take a moment to give this recipe five stars and a fabulous review. It is so easy and so delicious ... can't imagine how anyone could go wrong if you follow the recipe. I did not have fresh herbs on hand so I used 1 tsp rosemary leaves, 1 tsp rubbed sage and 1/2 tsp thyme leaves ... the turkey was golden brown, moist, tender, flavorful ... delicious!

this was da bomb! my hubby and 13 year old LOVED it. my other 2 kids weren't as crazy about it, but they are not big turkey eaters. i cooked it @ 325 for 30 min. and then turned the temp down to 250. it only took about 2 1/2 hrs to cook and it was so moist and tender. it will definitely be a keeper

This was not as good as i thought it was going to be. I cooked a little less than the 2 hours, but the internal temp of turkey was higher than recommended and mine was a little dry. If i cook again i will check the temp earlier.

I loved the flavor of this turkey breast, however, cooking it to 165 degrees and then letting it rest, it came out a little dry.

Best turkey recipe I have ever had. Soooo moist and tasty with the traditional fresh herbs of fall and winter. Plus, for a single guy, its great since my crowd is usually 3-4 peeps!
