Just made them. WOW!! Awesome! Those who said they crumbled did NOT let them cool 2 to 3 HOURS before cutting. It is upsetting when people substitute ingredients then give one star. If people follow directions they turn out perfect :

These things are addictive! Ina, more often than not, has
the best version of many recipes I have tried.

I thought it was delicious! I left out the coconut though because i don't like it. My only critic is that there were to many almonds for my taste but other than that their superb!

Delicious!! My kids and their friends love them. Made the recipe exactely as written, but added some chocolate chips. I think that any dried fruit/nut you like would work well. They freeze beautifully too.

I just made these granola bars ; they are easy to make.
I used 2 baking pans instead 1, I like to make them "thin" so I can save more calories ; ....
Well, I just got them out of the oven, I think I over baked them or as I baked them thinner than the original recipe says, they are a bit dry :( Now I know: I have to bake them the way they have to be baked ; anyway, they taste very good! Thanks Señora Condesa : for your recipe

This recipe makes wonderful granola bars. I've substituted wheat bran for wheat germ, and dried blueberries for apricots, and used unsweetened coconut. Sunflower seeds are also a good addition. Everyone loves these bars- including my kid's friends. I cut these bars up and immediately put them in individual bags for my kids on the go.
