Delicious!! My kids and their friends love them. Made the recipe exactely as written, but added some chocolate chips. I think that any dried fruit/nut you like would work well. They freeze beautifully too.

I just made these granola bars ; they are easy to make.
I used 2 baking pans instead 1, I like to make them "thin" so I can save more calories ; ....
Well, I just got them out of the oven, I think I over baked them or as I baked them thinner than the original recipe says, they are a bit dry :( Now I know: I have to bake them the way they have to be baked ; anyway, they taste very good! Thanks Señora Condesa : for your recipe

This recipe makes wonderful granola bars. I've substituted wheat bran for wheat germ, and dried blueberries for apricots, and used unsweetened coconut. Sunflower seeds are also a good addition. Everyone loves these bars- including my kid's friends. I cut these bars up and immediately put them in individual bags for my kids on the go.

These were excellent!!! They are so tasty and moist and cut into beautiful bars, I have never had a store bought granola bar that could even come close to this. It would be so easy to try other fruits and nuts, but loved this combo. This will be a regular at our house.

I made these today and I don't care for them at all. Used flax instead of wheat germ and when I mixed the ingredients together I started smelling the flax. Ugh! Then while baking that's all you could smell. I thought they would taste better than they smelled. Did not. Tasted like baked flax. I don't know what I did wrong but I don't think I'll make them again. Went straight by the recipe. Such good reviews I guess I did something wrong.

didn't care for these at all, fell apart when picked up, didn't care for the almonds, husband is eating them though, not firm enough for me, but had a good taste just didn't like the texture, won't make them again, had no issues with them sticking as some viewers did, it calls for parchment paper so use parchment paper NOT wax paper, however that said i did have trouble cutting them, just fell apart

Fun recipe. I made these with my 7 yr old granddaughter for her family to take on a road trip. The bars were huge hit. This recipe is in my file now!
