I made the granola, but I really prefer one with more clumps. With the addition of more honey, I have fine-tuned it to the way me and my family like it. The oven temp was also a bit high, and my first batch burned the coconut before the oats had the chance to become crunchy.

This is very easy to make and everyone who has tried it can't get enough of it. Even my daughter will eat it! Crispy and flavorful. Excellent even without any of the dried fruits.

Yummy recipe!
I wouldn't say it's the best, because
I've made many granolas (& most are my own recipes.
But, Ina's recipe is definitely worth 5 stars!
Granola is great for Bkft, snacking, mixed in breads/muffins, trail mixes (GORP, goes great in Baked apples as a stuffing!
Or, use on top of ice cream, yogurts, as a struesel! Etc, etc!
Granola is a versatile recipe!

This granola is very good--tastes great with milk, yogurt or just plain. I carry a ziploc bag with me when I travel--makes a great snack. I have made teh granola several times and have never left it in the oven the full 45 minutes, it seems to cook much faster and I prefer granola on the lighter side--and keep stirring as the edges tend to burn. I go a little lighter on the oil. This makes a sizeable batch of granola. You will love it!
