I just made this gravy this weekend, first time making gravy, I was a little skeptic about the onions so I only used one, like others have also suggested I doubled the ingredients, was serving 10, everyone loved it and asked for extra. Friends even took some for their left overs. Excellent gravy recipe, will be my favorite from now on. Thanks Ina.

At first, I thought it was going to be a bit 2 much with all ingredients and steps, but it came out awesome. You have the liquor and wine, it really does make a difference. It really brings out the flavor!!

I always use can or jar gravy, never that good. Was scared to make my own. This recipe is an easy 1st time gravy. Follow as is, personally added alittle gravy master and garlic powder for flavor. Licked spoon and pan clean!

I have been trying to perfect gravy for over 10 years now and finally decieded to take a chance. Although, this chance wasn't really one at all when you choose a Ina Garten recipe as it's foolproof. Every Ina recipe I've tried has become a favorite. This gravy went FAST for my Thanksgiving Feast. I had guests who don't eat gravy, devouring this gravy! You have got to try it, and I did make some alterations to the recipe as I do not like lumpy gravy I cut the onions large enough to strain. You must try this recipe and make sure you double it, it's a crowd pleaser for sure!! Thank you Ina!!

Outstanding gravy - my family was begging for more. This recipe is easy and you don't get lumps! I did not use the onions, since some of my family are not onion lovers....but it did not stop them for asking for 3rds. Thanks!

I made this on thanksgiving and it was really good. I was not sure how the onions in it would be since I have never had gravy like that.... it was really great though and I would not change a thing!

I've never been a big gravy person, typically using it sparingly. But this gravy is amazing! It's creamy and has great flavor. My boyfriend doesn't like onions (or atleast if they are visible, so I took others' advice and used the food processor. Once the mixture was complete, i popped it into the processor quickly to ensure that it was smooth and creamy. Everybody at Thanksgiving was raving about it. Try it and you won't be disappointed.

Made the recipe exactly as written, but without the turkey drippings. This was absolutely delicious! Pieces of onion didn't bother me, but you could strain them out if they bother you. Will make this every thanksgiving. Thanks for another great recipe, Ina.
