this is a fantastic recipe. it's the best gravy I have ever made. the recipe must be foolproof because I have made a lot of lumpy gravy in the past!

I made this gravy for the first time this year to go with 'turkey with truffle butter' recipe that was shared on a different episode of Barefoot Contessa. This gravy was very flavorful and delicious. I did add the cognac, white wine, and heavy cream. Next time I make it, I will try it w/o the heavy cream. I am thankful I have found a gravy recipe I will use again and again.

It took me until i was 58 years old to finally get the nerve to make homemade gravy! Wish you were on TV 35 years ago! This recipe is the BEST EVER! You can't go wrong with Ina's recipes!

This is the best gravy and a huge hit with my family. I always make it the day before Thanksgiving. My onions usually take longer to cook, but I always have to double the recipe!

Great gravy recipe! This is a staple at our house. I think it has too many onions though, so I cut it down by half and it's still awesome.
